Canoe Island Lodge is a full-service Adirondack style resort on the shores of beautiful Lake George.
Since 1946 our family run resort has been hosting families & friends, conferences & weddings on our waterfront property.
In the summer our rates include Breakfast and Dinner and our Chef and Baker offer an array of delicious
meals and baked goods while you never need to wait for your table in the dining room. We also have a casual deck luncheon
restaurant which is perfect for a quick meal between all the activities. Our
private Canoe Island, located ¾ of a mile
off shore, is a special treasure. Enjoy swimming from its natural sand beach in Lake George’s sparkling clear water. Our
shuttle boats make scheduled trips back and forth to the island for your convenience. We also host fantastic chicken
barbecues weekly in the summer as well as an Island camp breakfast for those who choose to enjoy the early morning trip.
While the island is a quiet getaway, we also have the beach on the mainland as well as many activities
for the whole family. The thrill of sailing Lake George in one of our 30’ custom sailboats is a delightful experience
shared by experts and novices alike. Our pontoon boats cruise morning and afternoon to scenic spots along the lake. We
have two har-tru tennis courts as well as a basketball court, sand volleyball court and the usual ping pong, shuffleboard
and children’s activities. We have a skiboat for teaching waterskiing and our knowledgeable waterfront staff will help
you with rowboats, canoes and the local fishing spots. All
activities are included in our rates, excluding the
waterskiing school which has an additional fee.
