Canoe Island Lodge on the shores of Lake George is located in Adirondack Park, a six million acre park in
upstate New York. We are a short trip from the New York City area, as well as Connecticut, New Jersey and Boston. Albany
Airport is just one hour south. We are located just four miles off The Adirondack Northway, route 87.

to the Canoe Island Lodge
From the
South - Take the New York State Thruway
to exit 24 at Albany. Take Route 87 (the Northway) toward Montreal . After 60 miles
of northbound travel take exit #22 & follow the signs for
Diamond Point. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto
Lake Shore Drive (9N) and go north for 4 miles. Canoe Island
Lodge is on the lake side of the road.
From the North - Take Route 87 (the Northway) south to exit
# 23 Diamond Point. At the end of the exit ramp turn left.
Go for four miles to the bottom of Diamond Point Road. Turn
left onto Lake Shore Drive (9N) and go north for ½ mile.
Canoe Island Lodge is on the lake side of the road.
From the West - Take the New York State Thruway east to exit
#27 at Amsterdam. Take Route 30 northeast for 1mile to Route
67 east. Take 67 east to Route 50 northeast. Continue to Route
87 (the Northway). Take 87 north to exit #22 & follow the
signs for Diamond Point. At the end of the exit ramp, turn
left onto Lake Shore Drive (9N) and go north for 4 miles. Canoe
Island Lodge is on the lake side of the road.
From the East – Take I-90 west toward Albany. Take 787 north
to Route 7 northwest. Take route 7 to Route 87 north (the Northway).
Take 87 north to exit #22 & follow the signs for Diamond
Point. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Lake Shore
Drive (9N) and go north for 4 miles. Canoe Island Lodge is
on the lake side of the road.
