The Island at Canoe Island Lodge Lake George Resort

The most treasured spot at Canoe Island Lodge is our private island. Canoe Island was originally owned by the American Canoe Association in the 1800’s. It has a natural sand beach and crescent shaped cove which makes it one of the most beautiful islands on Lake George.

Canoe Island is only three quarters of a mile across the lake so you can take a rowboat or canoe, but there is a shuttle from the mainland which goes at different intervals during the day. There is a sand volleyball court at our protected sandy beach and a quiet wooded trail along the perimeter. Canoe Island is truly a cherished private getaway on beautiful Lake George.
